The CaptainForm plugin is entering a competitive space in the WordPress contact form market. But, at the same time, each has it own features, options and interface. Recently joining the mix is the CaptainForm plugin. You might be wondering if there is really a need to have yet another form plugin. But hang on because this one has some very unique features.
I am breaking my review into three videos here.
Creating a Simple Contact Form
In this first video, I’ll show you how to create a basic contact form using CaptainForm. We will be adding name, email, checkbox and text box fields. I will also share with you the unique option of using a popup window versus embedding your form into a page or post.
A Look at the Settings
The settings in this plugin include:
- 3rd Party Apps
I’ll give a short overview of each option, as well as share with you the power behind Rules. This is one feature that makes the plugin stand out.
This is another feature that is a great addition to a contact form. The plugin comes with several pre-built forms specific to different needs and industries. This is particularly helpful to the business owner or marketer who wants to spend as little time as possible trying to come up with the concept of the form. So you can start with something and work with it versus building it from scratch.
Their support is impressive and covers all plans, including the free plan. You not only have easy access to documentation in the dashboard, but access to chat or the option to leave a message with support then and there. Good support can be a deal breaker with any premium plugin and they appear to have it covered well.
The CaptainForm plugin is entering a competitive space in the WordPress contact form market. But it has some unique features that will attract new users who want to build and generate more dynamic contact forms for their site.
The fact that this plugin runs off their server may make a difference to a lot of people. The fact that all your content being stored in the cloud, rather than in your WordPress database, may affect your decision. But as more and more businesses use services via the cloud, this can be a viable solution, depending on your needs.
If you are looking for just a basic form for your contact page, the free version of CaptainForm is an option, although there are other free plugins that may work better for you. But if you are looking for something more dynamic, download their free version, get a feel for it, and you may just decide that one of the CaptainForm plans is right for you.
